Methods

About Methods

Methods asks how psychological research earns a conclusion. It joins Psy101’s concepts, theories, measures, debates, fields, popular psychology, people and history resources with a guide to the decisions behind evidence.

What is included

This introductory selection covers research designs, measurement, analysis, human-participant ethics and open science. Entries explain procedures, inference boundaries and common mistakes. It is not a complete catalog of statistical models, an instrument repository or a substitute for supervised research training.

Examples and evidence

Published examples are identified with source-specific access notes. Other examples are explicitly constructed teaching scenarios. Interactive data are synthetic and calculated locally in your browser. A demonstration shows how a method behaves under its stated assumptions; it does not establish a fact about real people.

Course connections point to OpenStax Psychology 2e as introductory reading. They are separated from the documents supporting specialist claims. Inspect the sources.
